Hi folks -

I had seen so many good reviews and happy people using the Izula, I just ordered one for myself (from knifeworks.com).

I look forward to seeing for myself what everyone loves about this knife.

Mine is a desert tan version, and I did not opt for the kit.

best regards -

Congrats! Always glad to see new folks take the leap.

I didn't opt for the kit either, I had most of the stuff lying around the house. :D

it's a very handy size to drop in a front pocket when out and about. makes a great steak knife, too.

It really is a great knife. I didn't get the kit either cos I had a lot of the stuff laying around too. The tan should look pretty cool, I'll have to get one in tan... and green and then another one to remove the coating just for feces and giggles.

Unbelievable. I finally gave up resisting and ordered one about, ohhh... 3.5 hours before you yesterday. I ordered olive, no kit, but ordered scales, too. From the same place as you.

Had a hard time deciding between waiting for black to come back in stock, or ordering olive. Finally decided that I didn't want to wait, plus olive will allow me to highlight the etching with cold-blue. Works great on the etched portions of olive blades (from personal experience). Should work on tan, too, by the way. Although it looks like it may already be blued.

welcome to the addiction.. i have had many brands of knives and something about these RAT/ESEE knives just really say quality and American made. keep up the good work ESEE.

i am so ready for the izula folder to come around...

Congrats !!
might as well go back and order the scales ,they make a good knife.. Great ! :D

Hi texastonydobbs -

I intend to do just that!

I took an hour to peruse the pictures thread, and that really made me decide to pick up some scales.

I will do that later - I'll try it out just as delivered. I am very much looking forward to seeing this one in person!

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement. :D

Glad to see you over here and getting an Izula. Maybe that should tempt me to go buy a JK sometime in the future ;) (JK about you tempting me, was planning on it already :) )

Stellar EDC. I'm wearing mine on my belt right now!

Tan's the best color by the way.:D

Hi TheGame -

I had my eye on and Izula for some time.

Besides, I can't see too many better deals out there - talk about bang for the buck!

You won't go wrong with a JK either - Stomper is a class act and his products are top notch.

I love the Izula. It was smaller than I was imagining in my head, but once I got used to it though, I think it's an amazing little knife. It's the most recent in my ever-growing collection...

I did order the kit when I got mine, but now that I'm using the scales I don't use any of the kit pieces. (Not that I really "used" them much anyway.)

But yes, one more "aye" for the scales!
