Ordered my first knife !

Hey all. I'm new to this forum and indeed to the world of knives. I've been looking for a fixed blade knife. I decided to go for the Esee 4 with a black blade and grey handle. Does anyone here own one?
I'm thinking about putting an order in for a jay fisher knife- anyone think they're worth the price?
 
Great first choice! From your pick it seems like you would be a user rather than a collector. If so, I'd suggest getting only a few blades that serve different purposes and using them a while rather than going buy-crazy cause you'll end up breaking your wallet. :p The ESEE 4 is awesome.
 
Yeh, it hasn't arrived yet. My only concern was the coating on the blade. I would prefer being able to see the metal, might just strip it off.

Are there any other brands/ manufacturers which offer useable high quality knives ? I think it's the kabar/ bk2 which is esees main competitor ?
 
Esee 4 is a great knife. If you want a stainless alternative you can look at the Fallkniven F1. The Fallkniven F1 is one of my favorite stainless fixed blades.
 
esee 4 is a great buy its my fixed edc their releasing a ss verision this year and their warr is awesome
