Ordered my first

Well I placed my order today for an Izula. Actually 3 of them. Seems over the last couple of years I found myself using and reaching for smaller knives. Less hiking and camping than in years past. Plus I have enough larger Busse knives I would likely never have to buy another large knife.
I was looking for something durable with a good company reputation. I seem to have found that here after reading through forum threads and reading reviews online.
I ordered black, OD and Tan. Almost threw a pink one in there but at the last moment I didn't. :)

I look forward to getting them. Now as always, the long wait for the package.
 
Congrats on your order you will love the Izula,paracord makes a big dif in the handle IMO. I have also done a minor mod to the stock sheath, filed some triangle jimping/ notches to help grip on a thumb assist to prevent jerking the knife out, the Izula has a nice tight fit. Quick mod well worth it IMO. You made a great choice the Izula will never let you down.
 
I plan on wrapping one with cord. Leaving one nekkid and I ordered the micarta slabs to put on the third one.

I considered a larger knife but as I said I have a bunch. I do have one of the Ontario RAT-3 blades. I know it's not the same but I only have a need to carry something that size or larger every once in a while. I'm always carrying around a small fixed blade.
I have an older Becker necker that I carry around every once in a while but it gets left behind because it's not all that comfortable. The Izula looks worlds more comfy.
Plus I see they have a great warranty. Not that I'm hard on knives but having a company that really stands behind their product gives the user confidence to actually use the knife.

Thanks for the suggestion on the sheath. If it's hard to remove I'll see about making a mod or just folding my own kydex sheath for it.
 
I ordered mine last Thursday and received it on Saturday. Hopefully your wait is a short one. I love mine so far.:thumbup:
 
Wow, three new Izulas at once, what a nice present for yourself. Congrats!
 
congrats the izula is a great knife, i like mine a lot
well you know what comes next, custom pants! :eek: :D

I have a feeling I'll have to wait on them. They weren't all in stock and I ordered several other sharp pointy things that weren't in stock.
I'd have looked around for somewhere that had them all in stock but I was already ordering other things from this shop so I figured I'd just be patient.

On one I did get the full kit and not just the blade. Anyone else have this? What do you think of it?
 
I bought the kit. The molle lock and clip are nice additions, allowing many different carrying positions. Plus you can never have to many fire steels.

I have the black Izula for about a month now and really love it to where I'll be ordering a second one this friday.
 
Wow, I totally should have ordered from somewhere that had Izulas in stock.
Just got an email today that they're still back ordered. Called and the nice lady on the phone said she had no idea when they'd have them in stock.

Thinking about canceling my order and finding somewhere that has them in stock. I didn't think it would take this long.
 
Whatever you do, ordering three at once is a pretty good idea. You won't regret getting all the manly colors. :)
 
my izula has quickly become my favorite knife that I own, I am tempted to get one in OD Green :D You will not be disappointed with an Izula I can guarantee you that !!!
 
Heh, funny thing happened.
So since I didn't feel like waiting any longer since the company I'd ordered from said they didn't know when they'd have stock again I canceled all the items that were backordered on that order and went somewhere else.
Ordered a green and a tan at the new place. The black was out of stock there.

Apparently the first place I'd ordered from got a shipment in today. Today I get an email from the first place saying they redid my order and were shipping a green and black today. The tan was still out of stock.
Not sure why they didn't cancel as requested but whatever.

So it looks like I have 4 on the way. 2 green, 1 tan and 1 black.
