Ordered My Second Becker

So guys only took a week or two for me to give into my addiction. Well to get my wife tired of hearing about it ha. Last night i placed my order for a becker BK16. I am very excited and already planning my mods. My first becker is my 2. I decker her out with tommy the who's east india rosewood scales . Absolutly beautiful i was searching the bay for bk16 scales. No luck. Is anyways producing scales for the 16. Does anyone have picks to post up of some nice wood scales on a 16. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ya know, the next one, like a BK24, could be for HER. What a great Xmas gift!

Hmmm ... tommythewho doesn't make them? Kinda surprising. Ask him.

Yea i tried the email option here on the forum not sure how that works. So i also went and sent him an email through my gmail. Because he did email me personally after my first purchase from him congratulating me on my smart buy.

I would be taking alit of pictures of her now. I am not one to have safe queens she is a beauty but i couldnt help but use her. Yet again great lookin knife. If anyone has some links for scales or recommendations let me know. I will post right away if tommy gets back to me.

As far as I know, this guy Tommy makes wooden scales pretty much for any becker,have you ever think to get some G10 scales,those came in many different colors and I believe they are far more resistant
 
I have looked at many different scale options. When i my bk2 i searched this forum prety extensively for different options. In my opinion the natural wood scales are to beautiful to pass up. No two are the same. I figure tommy makes them he just doesnt have any on ebay right now. I really want to match something close to my 2. I think matching the two knives will be a very attractive setup.

 
Tom just got back to me said he has been real busy. He has no problem making them for me i am so psyched right now. Great guy to do business with.

Then you should ask him to make a matched set of large and tweener scales!

Now THAT would be sweeeet!

And save your current set for your next BK (cuz you know you're gonna get a 9). ;)
 
He makes alot of handles. From what i have seen the east india rosewood is pretty consistent so i am excited to see what he has for me.
 
My bk16 is in the mail out for delivery. Excitment is building only 4 hours left of work and then i will embark on my hour drive home.
 
Wow this thing is nice. I cant seem to get the scales lined up perfect. They seem a little small for the tang. Is what it is. They wont be on here too long.
 
Stripped it looking great. The secondary grind isnt perfect but thats no big deal. Its a hair small. I think i just got used to the bk2.
 
So i worked on her pretty good today.







The laser etch is really light. Could probably sand it off by hand.
 
Those look great! I'll have to get Tommy to do some work for me, as soon as the money is there!
 
The large becker scales were $40 i believe and the tweener scales were $30 they are both on the bay right now.
