hey guys:)

yesterday i finaly ordered my second khukuri, a astk 18 inch, 41 oz. with villager finish, made by Dil kami.
ive been drolling on the astk`s for a while now so im realy exited about it:)
a week or so and i will have it in my hands:)
does somebody know the history of these knives? if they have enny:)

i boght a ganga ram 22" a while back that im realy happy with. ive been using it allmoast every day in the woods. clearing and chopping up old trails/paths and alot of other stuff :)
the edge have gotten a few battle wounds on it, but that just some of its charm.
HI realy makes good quality knives:)

i also want to thank all of you guys here on the forum for all your knowledge about knives and other things, i have realy learned a lott from all the posts here:)

Halvor ;)

Good to have ya Halvor, glad to hear your Ganga Ram is working hard.

The ASTK didn't do it for me personally, but there are many others who love it. IIRC, I understand the blade was inspired by the khukuri that Amar Singh Thapa, a Nepalese general and national hero, himself carried. Can't find the thread that explains it at the moment though.

Thank you:)
yea i remember i have read something about that:) but i gues he diddent have the heavy duty chirruva handle and a lineyard hole? :)
enny particular reasons you did not feal it work for you? to heavy?
i wonder how it fit in those medical found sheats, have somebody tryed it?:)

The ASTK is currently my favorite out of my lineup that includes a Gelbu Special, Bonecutter/GRS and Tarwar (weak collection, i know -- need more khuks). I'll soon have a custom M43 to compare it with though. Hopefully it was in the new shipment that Yangdu received.

That is an amazing looking khukuri. That's probably my new favorite that I've seen.

I just ordered my second today also. A BAS from a private seller.

The ASTK is one of my Hall of Fame khuks. Personally, I think they re the greatest of all for chopping. It just has a great fee to it and all it takes is a wrist snap to take big bites out of wood...
