I decided to cancel the order for the SK and get a Meaner Street with a satin blade and green linen micarta. I figured I would want to upgrade from the SK eventually, so why not start at the Meaner Street. I am new to Busse so can everyone tell me how they compare to other fixed blades? Also, why is INFI so popular?

I have heard of Busse being compared to Strider, although I have no experience
with their fixed blades (I have only owned a few fixed blades). The finest fixed blade I have owned was a talonite custom "Cetan" from Rob Simonich (I still cannot believe I sold it :( ).

Thanks, Steve

INFI is popular because it is the best of the best. Once you owned a Busses and used it hard, and sharpened it much more easily that you'd believe, you'll know you have the right knife. As far as hype goes, well, there is no hype. You will only hear..... Try it yourself. compare as much as you need to, you'll see who rules. In my mind hype is directed at products that can only be accepted as great by opinion. Here we have facts. Also, the prices are very reasonable, especially when you consider what a forged knife of the same size would cost .

Welcome -There are a lot of terrific knives out there, but Busse's have a combination of factors that make them stand out. The design and quality of these blades along with a terrific warranty and very reasonable price for it all put them in the lead. You have to actually hold and use one to really appreciate it, and then you will know what everyone is talking about. Plus you have the advantage of this forum. Honest info from really good folks. Good Luck.

WF, welcome to the forum.

Good choice i nthe Meaner Street, but I think you still shoulda kept the SK on order. It is a sweet little piece, and won't hit you in the pocket for a few more months.

Can't hurt to have both.

You will love the performance and feel of the Busse offerings. The INFI performance characteristics are just icing on the cake.
