Ordered wrong size Grip

So my new Benchmade griptilian 551 came in the mail today. I actually bought this knife thinking I had ordered a mini grip 556 just so I can order a set of scales from igorded, which I already have. So, I need to exchange this 551 for a 556. What's the best way to do it? Call benchmade or try to trade it for a mini grip here?

If you ordered it from Benchmade, they will take returns and refund you. Make sure you don't use it and send it back with proper packaging
 
Call Benchmade. If you have had it under 30 days and no scratches etc. you should be able to exchange it.
 
I ordered from GovX and it shipped directly from benchmade. It arrived today. I just didn't want to pay to ship it back and pay shipping for the new knife. Spoiled from Amazon's legendary CS. Well, I called GovX and they don't do exchanges, so I'm just returning it. The good part is that Benchmade has free shipping this week, so I ordered the 556 mini grip on their site and it's on its way. So my stupid tax for ordering the wrong knife is down to a minimum.

Lesson to be learned from this is to double check your order before you click submit.

No need to be deceptive, very distasteful actually. If that is how you personally roll, then that is on you. Thanks for the heads up.
 
It isn't the same, because he accepted & opened the package.
gfiad - post up some pics when you get it all squared away, please. I feel like I should have a Grip, but can't quite bring myself to make the purchase.
 
I'll post pics when my mini grip and custom scales are here. Hopefully in the next week. I've already contacted GovX about returning it and they are going to send me an RA number in the next day or two. I'm not sure if I have to pay for shipping plus a restocking fee as well. If that's the case, I might just put it up for sale here. I'll let you guys know.

It is legal to refuse a unwanted parcel. The sender will not get charged and the postage he paid already factored in this cost. Same thing as unclaimed parcel, bad address, etc...

Not personal at all actually. Just a pet peeve when I see dishonest suggestions and misinformation being offered up as legitimate methods to fix mistakes. Of course it is legal to refuse a parcel, the moment you open that parcel, it cannot be refused. You don't get to see the show without buying a ticket. In short, this community doesn't really go for those kinds of suggestions, most folks try and do hints the right way and screw anyone over. There have been some members, but they are more the exception than anything else.
 
Ok, Mini grip and customs scales are in. Gotta say that the scales are really nice. The fit and finish is amazing.
