Ordering from buck custom - anyone have a pic of this setup?

Hey guys,

I'm about to order 2 or maybe 3 110's from buck's custom shop and I'm really liking the looks of this setup:

420HC BLACK OXIDE
NICKEL BOLSTER
FINGERGROOVES
ASIAN WATERBUFFALO

I was hoping someone had a similar setup they could post a pic of? The pics on bucks site are good but i'd like to see a better one if possible. If you have a similar setup please post!

I'd go with the rivets:thumbup:...nice knife, may it serve you well. Preston

With or without rivets? What a tough question... One of each perhaps!

If the rivets have no sharp edges then they look great. The plain scales, no rivets, won't have the holes (possible weak spots) that are necessary to accomodate the rivets.

Either knife pictured above reminds me of the song: "hello darkness my old friend" etc. Darth Vader's pocket knife.
 
I've configured the same knife but haven't ordered it yet. Without the rivets is my choice. Also like it with no FG and the mirror polished blade

That's a nice combo but I've never ordered the black oxide blade. I sure would if they'd do it for the S30V.
 
That looks nice!

I've never been a fan of the black blades but it looks real nice in this design.

The rivets are all personal choice, really just what look you like.
 
Thanks everyone. I'm not normally a fan of a black blade either but something about it on the 110, with the black scales and the nickel makes the whole setup look real nice.

I'll definately order this one, now I just need to decide if I should get a backup (it is going to be my new EDC afterall :)

I think that setup looks very nice! Please post pics once you get it! We don't see many with the oxide blade!

Oh, and definately order a backup ;) One with rivets one without :D You wont regret it! :thumbup:

Will do! it's going to be a long 4-6 weeks before I get them but i'll post pics right away!
 
I've had that set up, up before, I like no rivots but always go back to the s30v or the mirror polished. All up to pesronal tastes.
 
stupid question, but why on the custom models is the 4th silver pin/rivet missing that'd normally be on a standard 110?
 
I've toyed with this one in Black Oxide, but I agree with Flatlander that it should have a premium steel, i.e. S30V. Also, It's a price stretch for me, but would be worth it if indeed it had a premium steel option. :)
