Ordering from bussecombat.com?

Last time I ordered direct from Busse, it seems like it took about a year (or maybe two) before I got my knives. But that was many years ago. I've been thinking about ordering a War Boar, and I have a couple questions about ordering from bussecombat.com:

1. How long does it typically take to get a knife after the order's placed?

2. Do they charge the credit card when the order's placed, or when the knife ships?

1) Very, Very hard to say, between 1 and 6 months.
2) They are supposed to charge right before it ships, but sometimes this isn't the case because they get delayed.
3) You could always wait and order from the company store, who will ship the knife to you SUPER DUPER EXTRA DOOPER fast! The only problem with that might be that they don't carry all of the color combinations, only the most popular ones, which so far seems to be about 4-8 color choices. SO, if you're not picky, and kind of impatient, that might be the best route to take!

Thanks. That's all I needed to know. I don't mind waiting if it means I get exactly what I want. Or at least as close to exactly as they offer. I'd just prefer that it not get posted to my credit card for a month or so.

Shoot, if I knew it would take six months, I'd probably order two. I'm not sure whether I prefer desert tan with snakeskin scales or black wiht red. Or maybe even black with black canvas.

What, may I ask, did you order? :)

That was back when the Battle Mistress was new and they'd just started using INFI. I ordered a Battle Mistress, a Steel Heart (or was it a Steel Heart II?), and a Badger Attack. Then I sort of lost interest until a few months ago when the AK-47 caught my eye.

I lost the Battle Mistress in the divorce a few years back. I was looking for the others this evening, but I found that those, along with a dozen or so other knives that I'd had for years and years were nowhere to be found. (A couple Benchmade butterfly knives, an antique Khukri, a bunch of various folders, some Cold Steel stuff, and other stuff I'll probably never even remember I had.)

I hope I just forgot where I put them, but I suspect that there was a second property division one day while I was at work.
