Ordering from Canada?

So, after about a year of browsing these forums I finally broke down and decided to buy an HI khukuri. But I live in Canada, so I'd appreciate any feedback from fellow Canadians about the ordering process and customs woes (if any).

My concerns are:
1. Payment methods (PayPal, Credit Card, money order, etc.)
2. Shipping methods (USPS, UPS, etc.)
3. Shipping costs (a.k.a. is it really free? )

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks! :D

Paypal works well. It's the exchange rate that will cause the pain. I use Paypal, it works like a credit card.

Shipping... Uncle Bill ships USPS. I've had no problems with USPS/Canada Post. Ask Uncle if you want to ship it via someone else.

Shipping costs are never free... HI pays for the shipping (USPS). However, once it gets into our home and native land, Customs slaps you with a $5 handling fee and then makes you pay duties, GST, and PST according the provincial rate.

As for importing knives, swords and other goodies it's legal to do if it is legal to own where you live. Running down the street waving a khukuri may be another story. :)

me hopes it helps
