Hey U.S. residents. Tell me about ordering prescription meds from Canada or Mexico. My 10y old son, for example, was recently prescribed a nose spray for allergies. My cost: $143 for a 30 day supply. The same thing shipped from canadapharmacyonline.com: $49 for a 70 day supply. Epipen injector: $240 at my pharmacy (only sold in pairs, and I pray to God that I never have to use one). $133 from Canada.

Pardon my French, but le screw that.

So tell me please about your experience with meds from Canada or Mexico. Which vendors are safe and legit?

thanks

Three years ago my dog was diagnosed with chronic lymphocyclic leukemia, and according to the vets (we got a second opinion from a geyhound specialist) she might live 1-3 years with chemotherapy. The drug is chlorambucil, which is used to treat leukemia in humans; it is sold by GlaxoSmithKline under the name Leukeran. It is good stuff and so toxic you have to glove up to handle it. In 2009 it cost $97 for 28 pills (a 2 week supply) at Sam's Club, which was the cheapest source around here and the only one that kept it in stock. So we considered ordering from Canada, where it cost $108 for 100 pills plus (we thought) $10 postage.

Unfortunately, chlorambucil must be refrigerated. Cross-border refrigerated shipments go by courier, and with that added it cost as much as Sam's Club. Sorry I can't tell you more. If your medicine must be refrigerated, forget about Canada unless you are willing to drive there.

I don't know, but I wouldn't trust any company that has to attract business by hacking another business and redirecting you to their site. Also be very careful about what you are buying.
From what I have read, much of what they sell is made in India. It may be just as good as US brand name products, but who knows for sure?

You pays your money and takes your chances. Good luck.

Most U.S drug companies have programs to help those who can't afford the cost of their medication. I' d suggest you reach out to the company and inquire. If eligible they may discount it to you direct. It's worth a shot. Good luck. I hope things work out.

You can always ask the doctor for samples, and you can ask the doctor for a cheaper version of the meds as well. Make sure you tell the doc you are paying cash and don't have insurance. They should help you out.

I use the generic version of Flonase nose spray, and it costs me $15 for a 90 day supply from Costco. That is cheaper than the co pay on my insurance. I also take a few other drugs since my heart surgery, and two of them are also cheaper at Costco than the co pay.
