since the Canadian dollar is so high now Im ordering some knives from new graham knives. I used multitools for a while I bought a cheap Chinese folder but now I want a good knife. I cant decide on the junkyard dog or the E.T. but I have a couple of questions.

1:are these legal in Canada and will they pass the border
2:what are the pros and cons of each knife

I'm not sure of Canadian laws but neither are assisted opening. ( I don't think the E.T.
is considered AO) The E.T. has a very cool factor to it, but for me it just doesn't feel
great in the pocket. Don't get me wrong, it is a great knife and some may love it and
some may hate it. The JYD is an awesome little knife IMHO. Very well built. Feels great
in your pocket and is an excellent cutter. They both use Sandvik 13C26 steel which
takes and holds a good edge. I have both and if I were to recommend one over the other
it would be the JYD hands down just because IMO it's a better EDC.

EDIT: I have a picture of a JYD and E.T. side by side here.

No problem. Make sure you get back to us when you get it and
let us know how it's treating you.

I love my ET. Yes ive cut myself with it a few times, but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it. If you don't like how it feels in the pocket, try carrying it on a belt loop by the caribiner clip.

have a couple bandaids handy for the first few days.

A couple?? Better buy a case. ;) :D

Oh, forgot to mention the E.T. is the sharpest knife I have ever
had out of the box. If my eyes were good enough to see atoms,
I think I could split them with it. ;)

a spare quart of blood in the fridge might be wise as well.

A pair of those Kevlar gloves might be good until you get the hang of closing it.
It is SHARP and it closes scary FAST.

Pretty amazing piece of engineering though.

Good thing you are ordering it from New Graham, it'll come with the bandages.
