I am currently running about 8 weeks on orders, and will be working on making that lead time shorter. If you are a Bladeforums member, when ordering please include your forum name. Any orders that are not from a BF member will have to be paid in full before I ship the knife. Yep, got burned again.

How can people do that!?! Sorry to hear this John. I wish I could do something to help.

That blows John, what a POS. If I were you I wouldn't mail any knives to anyone, BF member or not, until paid in full. It's a shame that things have to come to that but there are too many thieves and scammers in this world and you don't deserve to get burned. I hate seeing good guys get shit on, and you sir are one of the good guys.

I agree 100%.

I agree with the others. I have been here quite a few years and seen quite a number of threads starting by people getting the shaft by BF members. Some Gold or higher. It's a shame that people can't deal with honor and integrity. Sorry to hear you got burned.

That is an absolute shame! I was raised that you shake a man's hand and that is your word....period. Of course, the world doesn't operate like that anymore, but I still believe in making deals with a handshake.

Hi Stomper -

I am not sure what your policy is, but if it were me, the policy would be that on any knife that is not a standard knife, i.e. a knife that could be put in the "ready for sale" category as a standard offering, the buyer would pay materials cost up front.

The knife would be completed, and then the buyer would send the remainder of the payment before it ever shipped.

This way, the only thing that could happen to you is that you expend the labor, and the deadbeat buyer would have paid the raw materials costs to put another knife in your inventory for sale.

You could never be burned if you used that policy, and I don't see how anyone could disagree with that way of doing business.

I am sorry to hear you got burned again.

best regards -

I'd say you should be required to be paid in full before shipping the knife.
