Anyone who goes to knife shows knows that 422 tables is a BIG show!
All types were represented, with an emphasis on quality, and vintage. And many customs also, with military, agricultural, primitive - you name it.
No cheap junk from the "third world" was evident. Fine old knives, many unused, could be had for appropriate dollars, but could be ogled endlessly!
A full-blown store display of Remington Scout knives and accoutrements turn your crank?? Step back in time and smell the MINT!!
An active display of Israeli self-defense techniques versus a knife?? Right there at the OKCA show!!
Trying to return home with more than I arrived with, I finally, after all these years, achieved my goal!
Sold a bunch of knives, allowing me to make some profit, and still acquire some fine cutlery to upgrade my collection.
For the Empire collection a humble, yet rare, flat-bolstered 3 3/8" Ebony Jack in very good condition.
A middle-aged and minty 4" Stockman with Sears' Craftsman logo.
Can't leave the show without a Harness Jack - thanks to Mark Zalesky of KnifeWorld Magazine; he always brings me something I can't refuse!!
Great little Winchester!!
More in the next post!!
