Recently went on a one week vacation to the Oregon Coast. The hiking and the scenery was great, I haven’t posted here much but I thought I would share a few shots from the week with everyone.
Our first day we hung out at Harris State Beach while we recovered from the drive and the work of setting up camp. The ocean was nice and the local shorebirds were feeding in the tide pools.
The next day we headed out Hwy 199 from the coast and walked the Hiouchi Trail along the Smith River, CA. Lots of activity on the river, kayakers and swimmers below us and steep elevation changes on the trail itself.
We followed that up the next day with a quick trip to a small beach at sunset, the light was amazing.
Our next hike was along the Coastal Trail at Point Sebastian.
Our 4th hike was in the giant redwoods outside of Brookings, OR along the Chetco river. Really pretty trail!
For our last day we went to “Secret Beach” and hung out with the Osprey.
Beautiful area and August is the perfect time of year to go, thanks for looking.
