Oregon Knife show over, where are the Buck photos

Patience my friends.
On my way home and just stopped off for a quick bite in Willsonville. Be home in about an hour and a half. Didn't get much time to wander so not many photos to post. Will post what I do have a bit later tonight.

Well there was lots of traffic at the show but sales was a bit slow as well as anything anyone wanting to sell any decent Bucks.
I did do a bit of selling as well as trading but nothing to write home about. Lots of people stopped and talked about Buck knives but
getting them to part with any money was difficult at best. Bruce Dollinger was not able to man the BCCI tables this year so I brought my
Wife and Son to help and they really stepped up to the plate and helped the many patrons as best they could. I didn't get much time at all
to walk around and see the show but for about a half hour the end of the day on Friday and 2/3rds of the sales tables were already
closed and under wraps so I could not see what all was out there. Leroy Remer and his normal sidekicks Bill Finney and Art (last name slips my mind) were there as well
as Howard Hoskings and Don Fanning. A few forum members dropped by such as gunstockjack brought me a Buck of the month 301 that I traded for and for the
highlight of the weekend Oregon Steve dropped by for a nice visit. Always a real pleasure seeing him at the show. He is just a wealth of knowledge on Bucks and other
very interesting knives some of which he brought to the show and shared with me. Thanks Steve. Jacob from eprague knives stopped by as well as many other old friends and acquaintences.
Didn't get many pictures. I'll try to do better at the BCCI event and next years OKCA show.
Here are the few I did get which is just of our sales table and display. I will add a few more later tonight.

I am going to bump this one time before it slips away. This show is the second or third largest Buck knife show next to the Blade show in Atlanta. Bucks displays at SHOT and NRA don't count because they are for their new production. At the big shows you get to see some collections, talk to long time collectors of Buck knives and if so moved purchase a knife someone is willing to part with. ( There are a couple of hard to find models in the photos) In the past you would meet Joe Houser and Chuck Buck would be there signing knives.
For BCCI collectors the Oregon show is considered the west coast knife show to go to. I did hear where Blade is considering sponsoring a west coast show maybe next year. Gun Shows that have knives are a different breed of cat. Exclusive knife shows appear to be on a downward slide. The Blade show in Atlanta is more a knife trade show with a large area for companies and custom makers and not so much knife clubs. BCCI holds its claws in the wood not willing to give up. The BCCI annual meeting is at the Blade show and a couple dozen members show up that day to attend and see and buy the pile of special knives Joe Houser sends from the factory. After going to factory this summer start planning on visiting the Blade Show. Who knows maybe the Braves will be playing a home game in the new stadium near the conference center..I will provide photos of the Blade Show in early June.....Thanks to Gedlicks for the photos.....300

No Joe Houser et. al. But a lot of knives made the trip. Blade Show is a 3 day drive and Post Falls the same. Hope I can make one of them. Thanks Gedd for making the effort. DM

Nope Dave. Nobody from Buck. Lots of people wanting to talk about Buck knives though. Lots of fun talking and visiting with everyone.
I have some pictures of the knives I put on display but am saving them for the upcoming SPS so keep an eye open.
