Just got back from the Oregon show in Eugene, OR (Durrr

On the whole, I liked the East Coast Custom Knife show better, but it was still fun. I was under the impression that Ernie donated a knife for a give-away, but not sure. Any of you guys go, too?

My girl friend carried around the CQC-8, and I mostly carried the Warren Thomas Frequent Flyer Tac. It's fun to walk through the metal detector in the airport with your knife on.

Picked up two nice knives in the last hour of the last day ...

Would of have three except Ken Onion wouldn't part with his prototype that he was carrying LOL

I was there. Emerson Knives donated a Black T Mach 1 for the raffle. Great show, although I didn't walk away with anything. Larry Chew was supposed to have my M/A Cujo done, but didn't have time to finish it before the show.

It'll be worth the wait! Got to meet quite a few guys that I've known on the Forums for some time. Always great to put a face to a (screen) name.

Too bad Ernie or Derek couldn't make it...I didn't see a SINGLE SOLITARY custom Emerson! Not ONE! Last year I passed on a 2000 secondary bevel CQC-6 from Ronnie Beck's table for $900. I didn't think it was worth that much...seems I was quite mistaken! This year, nothing.

I am totally bummed that we were unable to attend. The OKCA Show is the very first knife show I ever went to. I grew up in Salem OR and have not been home in years.

Next year, I am going to make every attempt to attend. I think I could squeeze a few more stops in up there (gotta build value for the trip to the boss!!)

Izrafil,

I know this is a little out of place for the Emerson forums, but how do you like the Warren Thomas Frequent Flyer? I was going back and forth -- should I buy it? -- yes, no, yes, no, yes. When I finally decided to, all of them were sold.

For the record, I am also an Emerson owner. Commander and CQC-7B serial numbered set. Love that Wave!

Freq. Flyer Tac.

Overall I like it. Light, comfortable to hold, metal detectors in airports are oblivious to it, cuts well ...

Only criticism I have is that I think certain edges should have been radiused a bit

NO! Not the blade!
