Original and early graphic Sebenza question

Hi everyone,

I am a gold member, so I am comfortable asking this question and believe I am within the rules.
I am in the process of reducing my collection and trying to identify fair prices for some items. In searching for large original sebenzas and small graphic sebenzas I am not seeing real current sale threads with pricing. Is there a lack of demand or is it just few out there moving about?

If you can steer me to some reference information, please feel free to do so within this thread or by PM.

Thank you,
Ed T

Demand will be good, just few available for sale. Many early UG' s were done by Chris, and that alone will be a draw.
You can post photos and ask prices.
I doubt I can afford them, but would certainly like to see them.

I’d be interested to see some as well. I’d love to pick up a large original pj.shoot me a pm if you decide to part with one

Hi Ed,

I had sent you a PM with some info but I think I should post this link here as it may be useful to others.

Here is a link to CRK's website that is a catalog of their CGG's. Yours would be a Pheasant tail CGG.

Matt

They look to be regular sebenzas do you still have the box’s and birthdates. They look like good honest examples but others here have way mor experience
Than I do. Is the graphic one the catch 2003?

The CGG is a pheasant tail regular Sebenza and a real treasure. I don' t know the value, but it is substantial. The other a regular plain jane and sub $1000 depending on the condition.
You likely will regret selling these

Chris Reeve knives have such a strong following that most of their early "Vintage" models have secured places in collectors' permanent collections. Not a lot of active trade in these models, but they do pop up on occasion. These '90's era pieces command strong values, but to get really premium prices you need the boxes and doc's. I would say that, in general, good condition older models generally draw 2x-3x the current value of similar pieces. As a guess.

I have been trying to find a Pheasant Tail for quite some time. (Though I have to be honest in that I agree with Peter - it really is a treasure.)

PM sent

Thank you for the comments and some questions. This has been a hectic week and I will try to get these posted tomorrow. I do not have the boxes and birth certificates and Am looking at the CRK service to have them reissued, vs. pricing them to allow the next person to do so. I would not normally part with them, but my life has had some changes and this will be another one. Again, thank you for the replies.
