"Original" Chinook's delivered in S-30V!

Folks,

My local shop just got in an original style Chinook in S30V steel. Cool, huh?

I actually had to dig for this thread, and I swore for days that I must have hallucinated it....

In any case, this is interesting news. Always thought the Chinook was cool, but never liked 440V......

Is there/was there a short run of the old-style Chinook in S30V? That is to say, will these be readily available?

They should be available right now, but just until the Chinook II starts to ship.

I was surprised when I saw this one at my local shop, and thought there may be some interest.

If I didn't already have a 440V one I'd have been all over it! It took all the willpower I had to say "OK Jeff, just step away from the counter and leave your wallet right where it is..."

Am I losing the affliction? YIKES!
