Out of the blue question but I was just using the Big Slicer, as I do about every day, and I wanted to know who came up with some of my favorite users (in and out of the kitchen).

Who conceived of them and who developed them into the black eyed version shown ?
Mostly handle shape/thickness and texture is what I like but the blade thinness is awesome and they very consistently come from the factory(s) literally hair whittling sharp and with nice even grinds.
PS: I have many; up to three of the same knife !
