I may be remembering this entirely wrong, but wasn't there a Buck that shared the 650's handle but with an even longer blade? I seem to remember it was a spear point.

Are you refering to the 651 Intruder, Pig Siticker, it has a 10inch blade ( approx.).

And a quick search of that info yields a picture of exactly the knife I was looking for! Thank you much!

Here is a family photo.

Yep, that's the one---actually, it looks closer to an 8" blade, which for me is even cooler. :)

Just measured mine and your right it is just about 8''. Still it may as well be 10" if feel like a really big knife in hand. I picked one up at the Pasedena Knife Expo, NIB for a Sick deal.

It's interesting how much the value of the 651, 653 have gone up in the last couple years. They're getting harder and harder to find. I've since added a few to this Buck tactical line up but, the Nighthawks and fixed Striders have always been a favorite of mine.

Nice picture/ great collection

My personal best e;bay score was a used 653 with the tanto[sic?] point and serrations with sheath for less than $7.00 shipped....

Yeah, that was a score:thumbup:...you couldn't hardly buy the shipping on one now for $7. The few I've seen have sold for pretty good amounts ($100+). You just never know what'll be a can opener today and a collectible later on.
