Thought I would share an image of my original SOG Tomcat that I purchased new from SOG when they were still located in Edmonds, Washington. It has a mirrored edge on her now, and still looks good after being carried on patrol daily for almost 10 years.

It has rare (now) Edmonds, Washington blade stamp and is still razor sharp.

Beautiful blade...I have a large fixed blade collection of the old Seki SOG's.

Ahhh, the forerunner and granddaddy for sog knives tactical / combat folder genre.
It is a much beloved piece of sog history.
A most stylish and capable brute.
It's closest rival of the day
would have been the al mare sere folder.
The only thing I thought lacking was the
Rudimentary slabs of crude utilitarian Kraton scales.
No doubt it works,
But I would have loved something more refined
If not, a more spectacularly designed grip pattern for the scales.
The tomcat imo, will always leave onlookers in awe.
Who wouldn't? With such a solidly sturdy overbuilt feel to it.
Great picture! Thanks for sharing.

I hate seeing photos like this. Invariably it gives me the urge to have to acquire one like it. LOL

I have a sog winder 2 that I purchased new about 15 years ago. It was only carried a few times. Lock up is perfect no play. Knife is in as new condition never sharpened no wear on thumb studs or handle either. I do not have the box nor the case. Any idea of value. Thanks guys. 1st post.

Welcome. You need to be a Gold Member (paying) to ask about values. Again, here is the rule which you agreed to when you signed up:

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site."

Look at what they have sold on the bay for to get an idea.
