Hey guys,

Any idea what the original Spyderco Manix C95 (plain blade) in very nice condition with its original box is going for nowadays? I've searched but all I've found if one with a combo edge and they don't seem to sell as easily as the plain edge version and one on an auction site for an extremely high price (I assume that its priced too high..I could be wrong).

Anyway, I figured someone here would know what they're going for now and that way I can decide if its worth selling. I already have one of my own and its often in my EDC rotation, this is one that I bought my eldest son just weeks after I bought mine. His shows some wear on the clip but the rest of the knife looks great and lockup is solid with no play in any direction. Like I said, it would come with its original box.

Any idea what it may sell for on Bladeforums or would there probably be little interest with so many different versions of the Manix now available? I have other versions as well and I like the lighter weight, ball bearing lock but the original full size C95 Manix is still one of my all time favorite production folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

round $150

i have got 2 i paid $90 each,used but good no box,i thought i got a deal..

It depends on whether or not it is used or NIB condition>> I would say that around $150 is probably about right. Combo Edges seem to be very unpopular nowadays for what ever reason. That indeed could be a price inhibitor for sure. With most Spyderco collectibles you are better off with a complete plain edge or a full Spyderedge>> and with the Spyderedged versions there are some that have little interest unfortunately.

I would recommend you putting it up for trade here on BF rather than trying to sell it. I think your best luck would be to trade it for something you would really like rather than trying to sell it. Because the market for combo edges just isn't that great.

The newer model Manix models are getting much more love than the originals which is curious to say the least but those are the ones for some strange reason. Also if it is used or has any signs of use you are much better to try to trade it to someone.

This isn't a combo edge, its a plain edge C95. I may be better off just contacting Spyderco for a new pocket clip since this one's clip shows a bit of wear...replace the clip and it looks almost new with the box.
Thanks so much.
