I bought this off the forum and it came yesterday. After I realized I was going to keep it (as soon as I opened up the box) I knew I would strip the coating off and bead blast the green G10 handles too. It took about 25 min total of taking my time and getting all the coating off.
I have done this to a couple of ESEE knives that turned out great. Just keep them oiled and maintained.
The seller also sent the Spec Ops sheath; I added the ESEE pack on the front. Good set up and this weekend it's off to the woods for some fun.

Hey PMC, great job Bro!!! How do the grips fill in your hand now after blasting? Man that is really nice work...

Thanks for all the kind comments. This is my first Busse and I have a TGLB in CF and black canvas micarta handle on order, about another 4 or 5 weeks on that one. These won’t be my last Busse knives either.
The bead blasting I did was pretty light on the handles, G10 is tuff. It took the shine off the handles and made them feel like really, really fine sandpaper. Grips great but not so much as to think you would develop a hot spot while using the knife.
I really like the heft of this knife. I can’t wait to see how the TGLB feels. I have never spent this much on knives but you can feel the difference. No Regrets.

On a side note, the only down side to this is the BUSSE name was pretty much blasted away, no way around that. You can faintly see it if you turn it in the right light. But hey, it screams I AM A BUSSE, so thats good enough. :D
