I was in the market for a good IWB sheath, preferably one that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg (read: college student), for my new Kershaw Military Boot Knife. For the record, the perfectly satisfactory KMBK does come with an included sheath, but it's embarrassingly inadequate.
I came across fellow member and neighbor-to-the-north Eric from On Scene Tactical whose reputation is rightly one of excellence. The Concealex sheaths are finely constructed, have excellent retention and carry remarkably well. The only semi-gripe I have is with Concealex itself is it does leave some surface black smears on the knife, though they remove easily enough with some rubbing and some water, CLP or Hoppes, or even spit (just like mama used to do). I've also noticed it's been less of an issue now, three days after I started wearing the sheath regularly. I wouldn't be surprised if it ceased entirely after the sheath is "broken in," so to say. In case there's any question, there has been no damage of any kind or degree to the knife itself, and to give you an even better idea I wouldn't hesitate to carry a much more expensive knife in one of these babies.
The sheath fits me best right around 5:00 and slightly canted, and it STAYS in PLACE. I've run on the treadmill, played with the dogs, done burpees and pull-ups with this thing on with zero problems. The G-clip provides great retention on or off the belt, though the knife retention is so good drawing without a belt can lead to drawing the entire sheathed knife off of your pants. I'd consider that more of a positive, personally. And it conceals very, very well. I've been hugged and even spent quality time with my girlfriend and never once been "made." My knife in particular does like to jumble up my shirts a little when I perform certain movements (only T-shirts or other very light stuff), though the handle is quite long and a simple totally innocuous adjustment takes case of things before I stand up or after I bend over.
I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Eric again. The price is right, the service is excellent and the list of knives he has on hand for sheath-making is remarkably impressive.
