Anyone have a source for some? Preferably 3/8"-1/2" thick slabs. I have enough for all my orders that require it, but can't take anymore orders for it.

if someone is really wanting some osage, I have one set of slabs I'm willing to part with

I have enough for all the orders that need it, just wanting to be get some on hand in case of future orders. Thanks anyway!

Don't get me wrong, I can get it, but I don't really want to spend $30 a pair.

Have you thought about looking in the newspaper for people trying to get rid of old fence posts?

Or maybe asking a farmer for one or two if you see a pile. I don't know how viable something like would be for handle scales, but it may be worth a shot.

There's some pretty cool grain in some of them.

do you have a way to dry it?
I can always go out in the pasture and cut a branch.
or I may be able to talk the neighbor out of an old-ish post that's well seasoned and slab it out for you.

I have no way to cut anything down into usuable pieces, I'm just not going to offer it anymore. I never used to offer it before, and it never has been listed on my website.

John, I have a slab that is 25" long, 1 3/8" thick by 7" wide. You would have to cut it to size. It was given to me so you are welcome to it if you pay the shipping. Didn't see your above post that you have no way to cut it but let me know if you still want it. If you want I can cut some of it for you in the size you need and just ship you some scales for just the shipping cost. I can keep you stocked until it's gone.

Community. I love it!

Scott is a great guy. When I first started making knives part time, many years ago, I did a pass around of a Nessmuk I made. Scott offered to be part of it, then took the time to call me to discuss it, and make suggestions on how to improve. I will never forget that.
