So I got a brand new osbourne 940-2 and after about a few hours when I open it slowly I hear something like a spring, almost like a spring moving, I’m pretty sure it has lock stick could this be a part of it or something else? It seems when I blow into the axis lock area if fixes then comes back after a few more opens

The axis lock is spring-loaded as I'm sure you're aware. That is probably what you are hearing. Add a drop of light lubricant to the lock area and chances are you won't hear anything.

Suggestion: Stop flicking your knife, stop listening for non-relevant sounds, stop blowing on it, and just start using and enjoying your knife.

Thank you I knwo it sounds like I’m analyzing the whole knife but I just don’t want any problems then have my return date run out, this is my first ever knife

You made a solid choice. I'm sure you will have years and years of use with it.

There is no "return date". Benchmade has a lifetime warranty (if not damaged by abuse).

I can't remember ever noticing a spring noise from an Axis Lock knife. The lock bars do tend to be sticky, particularly the coated ones. A little graphite from a pencil, or even just rotating the bar a little, can improve that. If it's that new, I'd just exchange it.

Most retailers accept returns within a week or two...
