I recently came in contact with a disabled veteran who spends a large majority of the day in a wheelchair for mobility. This disabled vet was far from ordinary though, and I was intrigued as to his background. Little did I know this vet was the CEO of Oscar Mike which specializes in apparel with a simple but effective mission (Stay on the Move!). I won't go into the long story, but he was in the "dumps" so to speak, and eventually came out of it and is living life to the fullest, and not sitting still. I met a few people from this organization and was so impressed that I decided to make them a knife, in appreciation of what they already have contributed to our country, and for their goals they are trying to accomplish now.

These are a few photos of the Oscar Mike knife that I wanted to share. This was my first charity knife. Any comments (good or bad), welcomed!

I know they will be impressed and thankful.

The largest rewards are often to the giver. ;) I appreciate your good work.

Thanks for the post!

Ahhhh.... but I have two holes... :)

The wording of their TM (which by the way is s/n 76172212), not that I was looking or anything :), is "The mark consists of a hole in the rearward portion of the blade". Almost as generic as Apples on a tablet that is "rectangular in shape"....

Well we're on the subject of charity knives, I would love to hear any other stories from people regarding a knife that was given for a cause. Photos would be great also!

Hey jc, i contacted you via facebook not too long ago about this knife, unfortunantly i have not been able to save up. As living off VA disability check limits the budget with 2 kids and one on the way. And i know no one can just keep donating. But if there is any other knife maker out there who would be willing to make one for a us army disabled iraq veteran, i am your man, i have all the papers to prove service and letters showing disability rating. I lost my first ever custom knife while i was in iraq. We got hit by an ied and when the medics removed my body armor, my knife was attached to it, it just disappeared. i think some body liked it and took it. every veteran needs to have a nice fixed blade knife to carry. it was a part of us while we were at war, and little reminders like a knife reminds us what we went through and our friends we lost. So if there is any knife maker out there, who just has the urge to donate to a cause, hit me up, I am also a Wounded Warrior Project Alumni, Thanks again...

That's a great looking knife. It's a great tribute to a veteran with an inspiring story behind. I'm sure they appreciate the deed. Great job!
