Oscillating Spindle Sander

I have a benchtop oscillating spindle sander that I use for flattening out the tang after it gets beat up from shaping a handle. It works great for that purpose but only comes in 220 grit sleeves. I taped on some 400 grit wet dry to an old spindle and it worked good for one knife but tore off pretty fast. Does anyone sell high grit sleeves or is there a hook and loop system for spindle sanders? I have a bear of a time getting into choils without it. Ive tried the disc sander but can't seem to keep the tang flat to the surface.
