Oso Sweet liner space question.

I just got and Oso Sweet and noticed that when closed the liner (lock) is unusually close to the blade. I can't slip a piece of paper between the blade and the locking liner when the knife is closed.

Is this normal on the Oso? As other knives I have seen the ball separates the liner at least half mm from the blade.
