Had the knife... had the MOONGLOW... had the time...

I eliminated the lanyard hole and one of the d-bolt/Torx hardware holes. Reason being... the lanyard hole location is too close to the last d-bolt/Torx hardware hole which is bad as the acrylic MOONGLOW is a plastic and is somewhat brittle. I felt it had the potential to easily crack at the bridge between the all too close holes. The removal of the middle d-bolt/Torx hardware location just cleans up the knife a bit. Tip up right hand carry... retained the SpeedSafe spring assist...

Wow! I can honestly say that's the sweetest looking OSO I've ever seen

I take it you're no stranger to this craft. What other makes/models have you done moonglow on?

I've had the moonglow on hand for several years and was unable to do anything with it as it has a low thermal melt point that my CNC router couldn't deal with. I just recently installed a Super PID which allows me to lower the RPM's yet maintain the router torque for machining. I'm just beginning to get a handle on the feeds and speeds required to prevent smearing and melt issues. The Oso Sweet was just the 2nd attempt with moonglow machining... still haven't found the sweet spot but I'm getting close...

I did a modified Delica previously...

I don't get this whole moonglow thing, but I guess it's pretty cool. Those are well done scales at any rate.

Real nice work. ive made scales by hand so i can appreciate the work that can go into it. Ive found it to be more trouble than its worth sometimes,too....

Looks great, I like how you changed the shape of the whole knife. Did you retain the factory liners nested under there or make new ones all together?

The factory stainless liners are nested just like OEM scales... the heel profile was just 'Striderized'...
