Always on the hunt for more Fiddle's, I was caught off guard (much to my delight) by an offering from Osprey Knife and Tool one Fiddleback Friday. We all know time is of the essence when deciding on a knife and this one was just calling LOUDLY to me. Many remarked on it. The Apache arrived this weekend and I just can't seem to let it go. The pictures we saw just don't do it justice. Over the past few days I have prepped food and some fire. Cut myself, pretty good, cutting worn leather off a baseball glove, and took some photos along the way. No blood pics this round!!
I always buy bigger knives with trepidation, I have what I would call medium hands and so many knives that are at an OAL of 9" don't always feel right. This Apache fits nicely and comfortably. The 3D mosaic splatting just draws your eye to it initially, then quickly the eucalyptus with perfectly paired blue liners takes your attention.
I told Chris that I most of my knives are convex and that's usually what I go for. A flat grind is relatively new for me and I think based on my usage that Chris hit a homerun with it. Very sharp and solid edge to edge. Fit and finish is top notch (not that that should be a surprise!!)
Here are the specs: SFT Tang, 4 ¼ blade, 9 oal, Flat ground on 5/32 3D mosaic spalted 01 steel.
No more of my ramble, here are an assortment of user pics over the last few days I would like to share with you all.

I don't consider this a review, just sharing what I think is a special knife. Thanks for looking. I look forward to adding more Osprey Knives to my collection.
