Reading up on the F-S fighting knife I came across a reference to the OSS All-Ways scabbard. I gather it was designed by Fairbairn for the OSS and manufactured in the United States.
There are also references to a scabbard which allowed the knife to be held vertically beneath the arm (blade up, hilt down), was steel reinforced for rigidity, and had built-in springs to hold the knife securely in place.
The 2 references may be talking about the same scabbard.
I have searched the web and cannot find any pictures. Can anyone link/post a picture of what this scabbard(s) looked like?
Thanks.
