Dear Gentleman,
I seem to be reading a lot of negitive feelings and seeing a lot of finger pointing toward democrates. This democrate may not be a strong supporter of this president but he is a vetran and a supporter of the military. To me the only thing that matters is if the decision to go to war is made we must support the troops. I for one don't want to see a repeat of the vietnam mistakes. If troops are sent they need the support of the whole country. They should recieve nothing less than our full support and be given everything they need to win the war. Politics should have nothing to with how the troops are supplied or how the battles should be faught. God bless these brave young men and women and may they get everything they need for a fast and total victory.

I think the anger is with the folks who sit to your left. The ones who hate their own country enough to want to support despots and murderers. Sometimes everyone is lumped in the same category for convienience.

I'll second Matt.

I hate to point this out, but government officials from the whole range of the political spectrum have supported despots and murderers, especially during the Cold War, when it was deemed to be in America's best interest. That would include Sadam Hussein. Perhaps it's the case that we've made our bed and now we get to lie in it.

YMMV

I belive most of the dissenters, protestors and left wingers are in a minoirty. They are getting too much publicity from the news media. A few are honest in their marching, but the majority are communists conspirirtors, old throw backs from the Vietnam War, and young students who don't have their own thoughts but are mimicing others.

I have so many emails about war stories, good commenteries, and from hard working frustrated adults. They don't want the war, but they realize things have to stop in Irag or the US is finished as we know it.

I believe there is allot more to the story than the public is privy to know.

It's no accident that there are no provisions for political parties in the U.S. Constitution. The founders, even though many themselves were loyal partisans, hoped to avoid the divisions and political chaos caused by parties in Europe.

Their hope was that the United States would present a new ideal where all the citizens would be united as "Americans".

But, the human traits of self-interest, acquisition, and tribalism, were deeply ingrained in a populace whose social and cultural roots evolved out of Medieval Fuedalism.

The "American" party never came to be. The country remained an uneasy coalition of groups with differing, and often, radically opposed agendas.

Maybe after the next “Revolution”, the survivors, if there are any, will have learned to put these difference aside and unite not only as Americans, but more importantly as Humans and Citizens of the World.

I'm pretty well convinced that this species will never evolve beyond self-interest.

I liked it - sort of. The person who designed that "game" was obviously no fan of the Bush administration. And the only outcome is a "worst Case Scenario." Thought provoking though.
