Brian, I'm sorry that you lost a good friend and a good teacher.
But I'm pleased to hear that at least he has gotten some recognition he deserved!
After I graduated from the Adult Education Class from getting my GED I read in the paper where one of my teachers had been brutally murdered.

:grumpy:
Like all of my teachers she was willing to go the extra mile and then some if a student showed real interest in learning and doing their best and like the rest she helped me more than was her duty.
The school brought in councilors for the students still going but I didn't have that benefit.
It took me a while to get over the shock and extreme grief. She was murdered by her ex-husband upon whom she had a restraining order. She had her own gun out but it was never fired.
No one knew if she had time to fire or just couldn't bring herself to pull the trigger.:grumpy:
I still wonder about that from time to time, never did hear if her ex was caught and convicted for his crime.
They had a beautiful daughter about 11 years old, I gave her one of the ndn Flute tapes I had made.
I hope it helped her in any way possible to ease the hurt of losing such a beautiful and wonderful mother.
