I just received two of these 91/30's and they are in "as new" condition. Straight out of arsenal storage I don't believe ever fired.

New Low Price! $59.95--Excellent Condition.

Czech Silver Tip Light Ball 7.62x54R--800rd can $59.95

There are now superior quality scout scope mounts available for $60.00 here:
http://pub113.ezboard.com/fparallaxscurioandrelicfirearmsforumsfrm85.showMessage?topicID=133.topic-- If you want a scoped rifle for long ranges.

There are various powers of LER (Long Eye Relief) Scopes
available to put on these Mosins. Most are Pistol Scopes that are made by BSA or NcStar. They are Chinese made and many have had very good success with them. They range in power from 2x - 4x (or even 7x), and they range in price from $30 - $60. You can find them at www.cdnninvestments.com & www.crankyfarmer.com

These were the rifles the Russians used to defeat the Germans at the Battle of Stalingrad and during WWII.

Before you jump you might wanta read more bout'em here:

That is so strange: a perfectly good rifle that costs less than the khuk.

OK, send me one.

By Aim!

I don't want a Russian MN. It reminds me of a gun digest article I read in the early 90's, the series "one good gun" Guy had a MN. Shot a deer. Good rifle, good hunt, only problem: he didn't want a Russian MN.

Synthetic Stock CETME G3 .308 Rifle
can you make me a deal on one of these?
are the barrels new?
what is the bore condition ?

Love my two Mosins. WOuld get about 18 more, but the money isn't there(stupid school loans)

If ya want a bunch, heres' great way to store them all http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinRacks.htm

Just don't tell any wives that I had anything to do with encouraging y'all to buy guns. Already get in enough trouble from one friend's wife. :)

You will never get in trouble with my wife for encouraging me to buy guns. I will get in trouble.

I am often in trouble.

I appreciate the MN. I think it a great gun and buy. I've collected all sorts of military surplus over the years. But never got the Russian bug.

thanks ;)

Re: Munk and the Ruskie bug--

I can empathize. I love the Polish models their quality control and attention to detail is way above the USSR's.

Enfield No.4's. What else to pair with a WW2?

( OK, I do have something else appropriate In mind - maybe with a 20" Sirupati - but then that would be telling. IF you can keep from telling! )
;) ;) ;)

You need a good Ishapore No1 Mk3 with the 1GR stock disk to go with that WWII. I don't know if Gurka Regiments got No4's.

I love my MNs. The carbines have real kick.

Or just go to your local dealer and have them order the guns for you. That's what I do

Yep, one of first two rifles(got the two at same time, from friend, as a gift. Good friend) and first three guns in general I got was a Chinese Type 53 Mosing(their version of the M44). Love that little thing. Still my gun of choice if I went hunting for something that needed bigger round than my SKS. My M39 is fun to shoot, but too long for my short arms, and too heavy. The little M44 clone is lighter(though still a hefty rifle) and fast, action is silk smooth on the bolt gun.

As a side note, if anyone comes up with any interesting uncommon variations on 7.62x54R, may be able to work something out, as I'd be interested. Cartridge has been in service for over 100 years, so decided a little while ago I'd see how many variations I could find. ONly have 8 so far, but just started. :)

Ferrous, a curio and relics is a Federal Firearms lic, albeit of a different class designation thamn the one you are thinking of.

And it still doesn't cost much- no thanks to Bill Clinton, who drove over half of all licensed dealers out of business.

Correct-you do need the C&R license. Go here:

http://www.cruffler.com/

scroll down to the department section and click on item"becoming a cruffler"
OR

google search "c&r license" and go for it

OR

go to your local dealer and ask him to order you a couple from
1-Century.com
2-Aimsurplus.com

or any of a myriad of mil surplus distributors nationwide but be prepared to pay a small fee per transaction if a dealer has to make a toll free call for you plus do the 15 minutes or so of paperwork to transfer the weapon to you.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you get your own C&R license UPS delivers the mil surp's straight from the distributor to your door.

Other important note, if you get your C&R, you will NEVER have money again. THink HIKV is bad? Just look at the racks in link I sent. KNow one guy who last Iheard had I think 100+ mosins. And that doesn't even count other rifles, taht's jsut variations on Mosins. Cost adds up quick
