I just got back home, 5 hours later than when I should have. I had a company meeting in Atlanta Wednesday and Thursday with a returning flight on Thursday at 6:20 to arrive home in time to see my kids before night time. I arrived at the gate 20 minutes prior to departure time to find out that the gate crew was calling standby passengers. I had a seat with a boarding pass. The gate crew member in charge said I was late and a no show,
even though I had arrived prior to the airline's 10 minute cut-off time. Even with my persistence that I was there within the "airline's cut-off time", sorry, no seat for you. Side note, I missed the USF-Rutgers game. :thumbdn::thumbdn:
After being bumped from another flight as a "stand-by" I finally landed a seat on a plane that left one hour after that flight's the scheduled departure. Just venting here.
One good thing came out of the trip knife related though. Come to find out our Atlanta office is right behind the Cobb Galeria. How does does this come into play? I can schedule a company meeting in Atlanta for May 29, just in time for Blade!
