OT: ALEXANDER movie trailers seems like Khukuris

this one's a beau. Khuk-like weight to the front... neat pommel design.

"The Celts fought with spears and knives, but, above all, they wielded the falcata, which could cut the arms at the shoulder and sever heads with one chop..."

Whenever the trailer pops up on TV I have to go fondle my Falcata...it's one mean piece of steel!

I wonder if they will let me take it into the theatre with me?

Thanks Edutsi! :D

Kismet, you probably have turn allow all cookies to see it, instead of red xs. I had same problem.

As for " Here's a site on Falcata. Dunno about accuracy, nice picture though.

Old Dr.Jim is one of the worlds most recognised experts on old swords & is one of the top living bladesmiths. If you hunt about on his site you will find some nice & interesting stuff.

Hes a good source!

Jim Hrisoulas is a good guy, and a great maker of user grade weapons. I have handled them and they are "lively" to say the least. One I handled was a pattern welded Viking sword that was only 2 lbs or so. Made me want to run amok and hack at things! :D

What are you guys doing looking at pictures of a guy on a horse holding a bloody knife when there are pictures of Angelina Jolie on the page?

We're just teasing Bruise. All the sand makes him think it's Dune...
