Over-shadowed somewhat by all the tragedies in the world, the passing of a great American lyricist last week, might have passed unnoticed had it not been for the furor which occured prior to the burial.

Andrew "Giggy" Petros, creator of the "Hokey Pokey" song/dance, passed away at age 89.

Services were to be held at Wilden Funeral home. When the Wilden staff went to put Mr. Petros in his coffin, they put his left leg in...

and then the trouble began.

So what you're saying is, the guy's still dancing, even though he's dead. That might qualify him for zombie.

and a few more characters to satisfy the damn software with the edits turned on... You know, I hate it when someone thinks that they have the right to determine carte blanc that there are no apropriate resonses with less than ten characters. I mean...it's insulting to me that after attending and actually graduating from college (a few times in fact), I may not use the skills I developed in learning to wrote concisely...to get to the point, to not mince words, to be direct, but rather must pad any comments with fluff, crap, junk, meaningless verbage simply to satisfy an edit some schmuck thought would be clever to insert into a dumb assed program and some similar person thougth a great idea to turn on. Why is this I wonder? Do the software owners only get paid if all the post are more than 10 characters? Will their children be embarassed if they have to say to their friends "My Dad's software allows short responses"? Is there some sort of ego involved here? Perhaps we really need an edit that forces people to shut the hell up if they don;t really have anything worth saying, if they are merely padding their post count, if they are dull, or stupid, or have halitosis or are simply whining about stupid requirements randomly attached to software nowadays.

We need to hook up pain collars on ourselves through the computer and allow various web sites to modify our behavior.

I've run across a couple of those web sites...modified my behavior when SWMBO found out and made me stop.

MTrcic <<But........ What if.........What if the Hokey Pokey REALLY IS What it's all about? >>

Then we're in really deep, and it's probably too late to turn back.
