OT: Are You Ready to be Indoctrinated, Comrade?

You have an inventive mind and a strange sense of humor, Satori....er, uh, Running Dog.

Most people don't realize Kim is a genius. I have a couple of his essays about large scale economics, and its brilliant stuff. He really is crazy though. Loves the guy from Baywatch too.

Do his essays include begging the South for food and extorting the West under nuclear threat for economic aid? Does his knowledge of economics include starving his own people to build a huge military he cannot support?

Let's just say I woudn't give him a fiver and send him to the local store for a loaf of bread.

Rush Limbaugh makes money; Kim spends other peoples. You'd get neutral if anything. But I understand you think Rush is nuts.

Green Ice, you anti-socialist flunky, Kim is the greatest among great men and can literally make flowers bloom with his good will. (There's an article to that effect there.) And you question his judgement of you, you bloodthirsty hooligan?

This site is too cool. :D

Maybe they are on to something...

"You arrogant militarist!"...but then they threaten me directly..."You extra-large gangster, we will mercilessly crush you with the weapon of singlehearted unity!"

I'm deeply concerned.

.

There was a lot of bloodthirsty bloodsucking going on there... I didn't know I craved plasma so much!!

Wow... I feel like a bloodymary now.

The open commerce with the west and expansion of free trade have led to many developing running dog capitalists in China. I had to give a few stern lectures when I was over there last month.

And what did you do last week?

Seriously though, I'm certainly not his friend, but Kim Il Sung is a very clever guy. His essay does sort of outline the base reason behind his recent escapades via his long view images of national economy. I'm sure it's on that site somewhere...

Morgane,
Of course you're not a friend of Kim's nor a supporter; my post was intended to underscore the actual practise of this dictator from any scholastic work he may have done. It's kinda ludicrous he would write anything at all on economics. Like a strong arm robber's treatise on supply side.

Great pic Howard! I understand that there actually is some resistance in the rural areas to China's kind of turning it's back on it's communistic system. They've kinda moved from Communisim to Fascisim it seems

The picture was taken on a movie set. Chinese people get a chuckle when they see it as I have the classic posture down, Mao's book over the heart. Many of them remember those days.

China is undergoing a unique evolution. The freeing up of the markets and the advent of the computer age, easy electronic communication, and information access have made big changes in their society, primarily for the better. I am highly optimistic about their future progress. They learned some solid lessons from the mistakes of the past.

Of course, there are Chinese people of all different opinions, just as you can find all sorts here in America. Some might long for the "good old days" but I think they are a small minority.

As far as a move towards fascism, I believe that they are moving away from that rather than towards it. There may be a ways to go yet though.

North Korea is very poor. China has a big problem with refugees from N. Korea crashing the gates at various embasies. Perhaps when enough North Koreans see the economic successes of their giant neighbor, and are able to access electronic media, N. Korea will experience some changes too.
