So this past weekend I was supposed to get 2 knives from knifehunter but a house popped up in Asheville so the gf said no knives and we got in the car and drove to the house it was a beautiful area but the house was not what the pics showed. There was trash all over a burnt box spring hanging from a tree , neighbors so close I could probably pee off the deck on to their house. Over all a crappy Monday. Sorry guys I had to vent I've wanted to move to Asheville for years and thought it was finally gonna happen and I drove over 14hrs so I wasn't happy....I coulda had 2 more knives which just sucks

That stinks, but your getting closer to finding the home that's perfect for you. And you'll know the moment you see it.

Privacy is more important to me than the home itself, you can always work on a home when you live there a little at a time.

But neighbors being to close. Is no good.

Hang in there.

Hey man,

No worries. There will always be more knives:thumbup:

Just hope you find the home of your dreams:cool:

Love Ashville, been there a few times late 1990s and early 2000s.... Worth taking your time finding the right house....

Yep, I feel you there dude. We have been trying to find a decent house to get into for a couple years, and the local oil and gas boom has driven rural property sky high. Even rent is ridiculous, we are lucky enough to be renting cheap from a relative, until something pops up. Knives will always be around, as Knifehunter said. I'm not a big fan of the city myself, I like the simple life.

Yea I love that area! My family and I are going to be headed that way to Lake Lure (Chimney Rock), NC in a couple of weeks for vacation:thumbup: Beautiful area!! As for living there, I plan to move wayyyyyyyy south once I graduate college because I hate the cold weather. I am thinking maybe the Gainesville, FL area.....

We have looked in lake lure but the places always get snagged so quick there. The place we looked at was in Black Mountain it's so beautiful there. If I don't find a place there I'm gonna wait 2 years till I can work again and camp out in front of busse till they give me a job or a restraining order.....lol

I personally would stay outside Asheville itself, but the country around there is still quite nice. You might dig around in Leicester, Hendersonville, Swannanoa, or Woodfin. There are some nice places around town, but they are mighty pricey.

Hendersonville was nice the last time I visited. Too bad there isn't an affordable house for sale hidden on the grounds of the Biltmore!

Asheville has changed so much I don't go unless it's necessary and I only live 20 minutes away.

As long as I'm with in an hour of Asheville that's all I need just so the gf can find work so I got a decent area I can look in

AMEN BROTHER! I'm an hour away. I go there a couple times a year to eat. Usually at Juicy Lucy's! Or to an occasional concert. The state psychiatric hospital I work at serves 37 counties west of Raleigh. Half of our patients come from Buncombe county. Keep lookin' around lake Lure, Black mountain, & Hendersonville.
