OT - Bad day at work...

Wow, that is a bad day.:eek:

Things are actually looking up, very slightly, at my place of employment. Perhaps the new senior is ... competent. It would be a tremendous surprise, but I "sense" that it is possible.:cool:
 
Glad to hear I am not the only one with a twisted day.

Our supervisor from Texas (we are in Louisiana........?)told us we will be working 7 12s until we are caught up. At least 2 weeks. Piss away my dreams....sanity and anything that goes with it. And any hopes of spending time with the family.

All because they didn't send a replacement worker when one of our guys had ACL surgery and was out for 6 weeks......



At least I have a job to bitch about......I should be grateful.
 
We had a bad day down here, too. Some little Cuban kid got stabbed three times and killed in one o our local high schools. It was over a girl. Kid had been here 4 months.

When it rains it pours.
 
Man, is it the moon or something? Got hit with a corporate survey today! More jumping through hoops...:rolleyes:
 
Hah! It comes in waves, doesn't it? The Corporation announced today that it is reversing long-standing policies on the use of personal cell phones in Limited Access Areas. As in, they will no longer be allowed, period. This just a month after I dropped large coin on a new Blackberry and the accompanying data plan. Thanks for nothing, sport.
 
I had an OK day, had a job interview and I didn't cuss or fart during the whole thing!! Hope your day gets better!

Sorry to hear about that. :(

I am grateful for my job every day. The downs and ups make it exciting and a buddy picked me up from today's rotten day with an image that made me almost choke on my diet coke...
 
i guess that i should not tell you that i was able to retire from my job with the north carolina dept of correction, 30 years of that kaka is enough for anyone. get to start the new one now with the nc gang investigators assoc, much better people to work for at least the ones at my local unit.

he man keep your chin up, it will get better, just not sure how soon
 
Lost my job yesterday, so I guess that makes it a bad day at work. No warning, just laid off.

i'm sorry but i cant agree with that. unemployment is rising not falling.
 
With so much bank money flowing around, I don't understand why organizations lay off people when situation is not that critical anymore.
