How're y'all ? It's been extra busy at work, so I haven't had much time to hang in the Cantina lately... But all of us over-worked sys admins are gonna go for some attitude adjustment this Friday evening at The Flying Saucer! Woo hoo! beer me!

BTW Uncle, sorry if you don't see this until the AM and it makes you thirsty ;)
Howdy from Smithville, TX. A break for some brew and good times is fine. Just try to maintain your cools.

Any of you fellow beer lovers ever heard of Northwoods brewery?
This is a local brew pub that has been rated very highly for a micro brew. The best thing is that it is right here in Wisconsin :D
I go to this pub at least once a month to have a few pints of Porter or Stout, Good stuff ;)

I've never heard of Northwoods, but I've heard Lakefront is awesome.

I would agree lakefront is an excellent micro. Northwoods is a very small brewery located in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Most people haven't even heard of Eau Claire. How about Leinenkugels located in Chippewa Falls? Another one of my favorites :)

Spence:
what flavors have you tried? Original, Red, Honey Weiss, Doppel Bock, Creamy Dark or Berry Weiss. They're all my favorites.

I am very familiar with all of them, probably too familiar ;)
Actually, I might join Uncle and have me a beer!

Well, back home now and a good time was had by all. I went for the Newcastle Brown and Fuller's Porter, but McEwan's Amber and Fat Tire Ale were also popular at our table. Cute waitresses, too. And yes, they were cute before any beer was consumed, too :D
I could use a waitress right about now...but then I would probably lose what little money I have.

Dave K introduced me to the Fat Tire in Phoenix the 1st time we got together out there.
Dayumed good brew!!!! :D

Seems our kids and their friend's aren't too adventureous. There were a couple of bottles left, actually overlooked by me, and were still there in the fridge the next time we went out several months later.
Needless to say I was really glad to see them instead of having to drink one of the different varities of Bud the kids always have one hand, although when it's hot it almost doesn't matter what kind of beer it is as long as it's iced down and cold!!!!:)

Iced down and ice cold and Free is even better.:D
There's just something different about being iced down or taken from the fridge. I always have had a tendency to drink more when it's iced down for some reason, even in the winter and around a nice fire. ;)

Yep, the folks over at The New Belgium Brewing Co. make several fine brews. Besides Fat Tire, they make one of my favorite "it's hot outside and I just got done mowing the lawn" beers - Sunshine Wheat. I'm not much on lighter beers (Fat Tire is "light" for me), but Sunshine Wheat is good stuff. After all, sometimes it gets too hot here in TX & OK for stouts and porters ;)
