The other night I watched an old movie starring Peter Sellers....one of my favorite actors and maybe...the favorite movie in which he acted.

It's not a drama, nor a comedy, really...do they have a film category for an "irony?"

I recommend it without hesitation as being one of the most entertaining films made. It is not at all like the Pink Panther movies.

It is certainly a unique movie...but it drove me crazy! I mean, I appreciate the delicious artistic irony of it all, but I like a conflict and a plot direction and an ending that doesn't make me scream! It's a must-watch movie, but if you're like me you'll be pulling your hair out at the end.

If that doesn't make sense, then you should watch the movie. Then you'll say "Yes...I understand...Bis." :)

Kind of like he was "enlightened", and was completely unconsious of his consciousness. :D Simplicity at times has its blessing! Shirley McLaine was also great. The scene in the bedroom was precious, as was the his assurance that "The spring will come, and there will be growth."

Thanks for the memories, Kis; will rent it again in ENGLISH here when I next go to a video rental store.

"Being there" is a film version of a great book by Jerzy Kozinski ( I no longer recall if the book bares the same title) His book, in turn, is based upon Dostoyekski's flawed novel, "The Idiot"

Dostoyevski was intrigued by the concept of a divine fool- an innocent good person who was a complete disaster in the affairs of men.

Yes, that is good movie.

Saw it long time ago, and I still see things that remind me of it. I forget many movies I've seen.
