OT: Beowulf in Hindi

:D

Naw...Bruise would say something about all the Vikings native to India need to read Beowolf in their mother tongue.

I'm amazed by Beoram and his language studies. I have enough trouble speakin' da engrish.

Beo

Very interesting.

I think you may have transposed a few syllables and parsed a first person pro-noun incorrectly though.

(Beo- I don't have a clue as to what I just said. :D )

You actually had me for a second. :D

A most courageous effort. You have my support. Hindi is not an easy language.

While you are at it, try learning to read Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali in Bengali. I was told the English translation is nothing compared to it in its native language.

I started to look, but it wanted a Hindi Unicode, and for all I'd be able to understand, even WITH my Hindi Unicode, I passed.

But, every now and then (honest,) I pick up Beowulf and read a bit. It's a Geat read.:)

Me too!!!! I'm still trying to learn a little TsaLaGi once in awhile and get a new word every now and then, but it's sure slow, and hard, for me.:(

From the description of Book 1 in the comic series..

"Beowulf, King of
Thanes, emerges to do
battle with the original
demon, Grendel. Much
hurt is delivered."

Someday perhaps. I don't know the Bengali script very well. Fortunately, Sanskrit, Hindi & Nepali are usually all written in nagari, which I do know. So, Bengali's on the list, but after Hindi & Nepali....
