OT: Big knives!

Does everyone that likes HI khuks like all big knives? This weekend at Blade West, I was looking for a bowie, and I found the Ontario/Bagwell Hell's Belle. I took a look at her, but it was just too small! So instead, I picked up a nice little "Wild" Bill Hearndon bowie. Here she is against my 20" Ang Khola:

Can't speak for everyone, and have seen some pretty ugly big knives, but THAT is one beauty! Damascus, fluted horn (?), stag (?) - closeups and full description, please.

It is actually ebony in the handle with a damascus blade, guard, and endcap. It is about 19.5" overall with a 13" blade. It has a leather sheath with a white ostrich inlay. Here is another pic:

Nice. Yes I do like big knives but don't have any. Until the HI Khukuris I couldn't afford one.
 
I've been desperately trying to find some place to find some brand new katar. Y'all know where I could find some?

Great blade, congrats.
I have a Bagwell, Primos, Lamey, Cashen, and possibly a Raymond Richard Bowie on order for the years to come, but I need a big user Bowie NOW!! wah.

That's even better than I expected. How does it feel? Are the ridges at all irritating? Though you probably wouldn't have bought it if they were.

with a little help from a customized recurve, and the addition of a cho... though im not sure if that would be a good thing to put on it... cause the person putting the cho in it didnt really make the knife... anyways

put a recurve in that puppy, and it would be like a very extreme version of the the movie model...

handle equals 10 5/8" (270mm) and the blade is 9 1/16" (230mm) total length of 19 11/16"


comes with a ratchet locking mechanism.

aaaaah.... folding ratchet kuhkuri....:eek: :D :p



wich begs me to ask - WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ON THAT LOCKING MECHANISHM?!?!?!?!?? google gives me nothing, and the blade forums wide site search has never once worked for me... (thanks in advance for anyones replies)
