OT: browser/site/DSL questions

OK, I'd be a little more miffed if I had checked in earlier and missed out on the specials today because of this, but I'm still plenty steamed at the fact that I have been trying to view the 8/08 thread for the last 20 minutes and haven't even seen the picture yet! I'm using Firefox, as well as Explorer, and I was wondering if anyone else has problems with Bladeforums or BF loading images from HI-a site problem in general, or something to do with FF. I know my connection is slow and poor quality (supposed to be DSL, but we get frequent drops and horribly slow speeds) but I was wondering if there may something else to the problem. If no one else is having any problems, then this is just one more reason to convince my roommate (who's name is on the DSL bill anyway-we split the payment) to take this up with someone on post. Sprint has some sort of exclusivity, and anyone in the barracks really gets shafted with the lousy performance. Plus, I can't get in on any khuk steals! :grumpy: Hopefully another M43 or GRS shows up in that size (or better yet a Foxy) AND I can participate.

I'm on Bellsouth DSL and using Internet Explorer as my browser. I have no problems seeing/viewing the pictures from Yangdu's sale thread for today.

I'm on SBC DSL and use IE and I can see everything fine.
I think several here use FF and they don't have any trouble. Maybe you have some securities or something set too high?

have you run adaware, or spybot lately?, updated java lately ?

I'm on a dial up & pics do load slow here cause ppl don't always resize thier pics, but I do see em after a min or so
I'd call your ISP and talk to tech support, I've had to do it several times, you;ll need name on the account & the password
Don't be afraid to email Yangdu if your looking for something to buy !!!

FF on 98, no problems, at work it's IE on XP, no problems.
