You know... I hear that Osprey taste kinda like a combination of Spotted Owl and Whooping Crane. Might make a good meal. :thumbup: Um... not that I have first hand knowledge... just sayin'....

I used to have know this guy who was known to say (way too often) "If It Flies It Dies".

But when I see a bird of prey such as this one...I can't imagine someone shooting at it! Just wrong......now a pigeon or a crow...OH HELL YEAH!

I have an old neighbor who had an osprey nest in a tree near his house. He was always complaining about the noise. Another neighbor of mine said she saw him shooting at it one day and she called the authorities on him. He denied the incident and they left him alone.

A week later the old guy had some guys cut the top of the tree with the nest off!

Animal control came by to investigate and the old guy just said "What birds are you talking about?" They gave him a warning about messing with protected species and then left him alone.

For days we saw two osprey circling the area and screaching. Not long after, the nest was rebuilt and now it is closer to the old guy's bedroom window
