At the risk of further convincing everyone that I'm strange...

Does anyone else imagine a particular place when they are visiting/thinking about the Cantina? Let me explain what i mean. For the longest time when reading books I've noticed that if I think too hard about a scene that I'm picturing that the author described, I realize that oftentimes my mind has just abstracted my uncle's lakeside house where I spent alot of time as a kid. Sounds weird I know, but nonetheless it happens.

I've also noticed that I tend to imagine that place vaguely in my mind when I'm visiting the Cantina.

Ok, so I'm wondering--does anyone else do this here, or maybe while reading. Should I call the whitecoats;)

I recall Rusty describing the bar scene from the first Star Wars movie as the place from which the Cantina was named...I've often imagined that scene while scrolling through...:D

i am always reminded of a movie i think it was the 100 spartans.
where the persian king shows his mens courage to the king of sparta,by asking one of his soldiers to ride the steel mare.

the steel mare was a contraption for executing prisoners.
if you imagine a giant khukri placed on the ground on its spine ,with the blade faceing up. handle raised at about 12 foot, then a set of stairs at the butt of the handle.
right got the pic, then up the stairs you go hands tied behind yor back, they lay you face down straddling the blade, kinda like sitting slumped forward on a horse,[ hence the name the steel mare ]
then down you slide, at the bottom you are in two neat halves OUCCHHH.

    :D i would do it NOT

dont know why but probably cos the shape of the khukri reminds me of that scene.:D

Remember the Nepali Cantina in "Raiders of the Lost Ark?" That's the imgage I like. Rob, we're all crazy or we wouldn't be here.

That is how I picture the cantina N2S, a few different images as well but thats it !!

:D

Thats a good one, Uncle. I'll see that from now on. I used to see the pic N2S posted, but now its a blend of that and Raiders. Less National socialists than in raiders, tho, and less guns.
