OT: ?Cheyenne Beaded sheath..

Barbarian Westerner- always putting life into neat packages!!

Looks like a pretty neat package, though. Bead work looks new to me, shiny. Knife looks like it's been around a little while.

Don't know how close to authentic it is. If only we had a Cheyenne of some cultural knowledge to tell us! :)

But nice, in its way. The knife isn't much on its own.

Be well and safe.
Not Cheyenne but the clue is in the first sentence, "Cheyenne style reproduction."
Good on them.:D  :D
The knife looks like a lot of old ndn knives, a worn out butcher knife, but probably isn't, old ndn knife I mean.;)

Yes...honest repro...sort of what I intend to do.

BTW Bruise...this is a repro of a Cheyenne binary tribe...it means "on, on"

.

The sheath is definitely a repro - probably pretty new (edit- made in the last few years, though maybe a decade or two old). Doesn't look like a bad beading job, but definitely not an expert. The pattern layout strikes me as a bit funny - which direction the person decided to bead in - but I haven't looked at good stuff in a while. Probably has $100 of work in it. Will probably see $50 if it finds the right person who needs it.
